Creed lead singer Scott Stapp delivered an impassioned message at a recent concert, reminding audiences that the United States is a Christian nation “built upon the Bible and the Word of God.” In a viral moment from his band’s reunion tour, Stapp emphasized the need for Americans to come together amid division.

“We’re so divided,” the 51-year-old Grammy Award-winning artist stated. He expressed concern that “the powers that be” thrive on this division, distracting citizens from holding them accountable. “Focus on what unites us, not what divides us,” he urged the crowd, calling for a collective awakening.

Stapp highlighted the irony of American civil rights being violated while citizens engage in divisive arguments. “We’re keyboard warriors,” he said, criticizing society’s tendency to get lost in entertainment and consumerism, which distracts from pressing issues.

“The only way to make change is to wake up and come together as one,” he asserted. He encouraged focusing on shared values like life, freedom, love, and happiness, and reminded listeners of the importance of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. “We are a constitutional republic based upon the Bible and the Word of God, not a democracy,” he emphasized.

In addition to his powerful message, Stapp, who appears in the new “Reagan” film, has been open about the influence of Christianity in his life. His faith has played a crucial role in his recovery from addiction, and many of his songs, such as "Higher," "With Arms Wide Open," and "My Own Prison," reflect his spiritual journey.

Stapp has shared his struggles with depression and substance abuse, recounting a near-fatal fall in Miami that served as a pivotal moment in his recovery. “Thank God there was a ledge about four stories down, and I shouldn’t have survived that impact,” he recalled.

Following a highly publicized divorce in 2014, Stapp reaffirmed his commitment to his faith, expressing his desire to dedicate his life and music to sharing his testimony. “I have rededicated my life to Christ, and I’m proud to be a Christian,” he stated. He acknowledged the challenges of maintaining a Christ-like attitude amidst personal trials but emphasized the importance of extending mercy and grace.

Stapp’s heartfelt message resonates with many, encouraging unity and faith as essential components for personal and societal healing.
